Structure of the ISPE

The central feature of the Integral Support for Pastoral Excellence program [ISPE] is the peer support offered in the twice monthly meetings of the Practice Group. The group is of not more than eight persons, all of whom are authorized for ministry by a denominational body and for whom ministry is both a calling and a vocation.  The content of the sessions is informed by the participants themselves as they “check in” about the issues currently arising for them in their setting for ministry or in any other area of their life.

The facilitator of the group is Rev. Dr. Mark Lee Robinson, a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and an experienced pastor in a variety of settings.  He is the author of the training curriculum and of the book, Just Conflict: Transformation through Resolution.

Before entering the Practice Group, each participant will first complete a training workshop which is the One-Day workshop on JustConflict.  This gives a theoretical and experiential backdrop for the Practice Group.  The techniques learned in the One-Day are those used in the Practice Group.
